The Solid Waste Management Department of BBMP takes pride in serving the citizens of Bengaluru city and in working towards making our Garden City cleaner and greener. We manage all kinds of waste streams generated in the city and ensure that they are collected, transported, processed and disposed responsibly as per the respective rules – Municipal Solid Waste, E-Waste, Plastic Waste, Bio-medical Waste, Construction and Demolition Waste, etc.

We are constantly evolving better management and hi-tech methods to be able to handle and create maximum value from our waste. Thereby our focus has been on ‘Segregation of Waste at Source’ and ‘Decentralisation’ of both management and processing of waste by stream.
