On November 24, 2024, Bengaluru Climate Action Cell (BCAC) attended the 'Voices of the Voiceless' event, hosted by Jansaahas NGO. The event provided a powerful platform for unorganized and migrant workers to share their personal stories and experiences of how climate change has impacted their lives. Through heartfelt testimonies, participants highlighted the challenges they face, from extreme weather conditions to disrupted livelihoods. BCAC was present to listen, learn, and engage with these communities, emphasizing the need for inclusive climate action that addresses the vulnerabilities of the most affected groups.

On November 16, 2024, the Bengaluru Climate Action Cell (BCAC) set up an engaging stall at the BIEC event, where fellows took the lead in presenting the orientation of BCAC to visitors. Through informative displays and interactive discussions, the fellows shared insights into BCAC’s mission, ongoing initiatives, and the city’s climate action strategies. The stall provided an opportunity for attendees to learn about the important work being done to combat climate change in Bengaluru and how they can contribute to creating a more sustainable future.
On November 14, 2024, BCAC fellows participated in an insightful orientation session on 'Trigger Mapping,' led by Kuldeep, the founder of ReapBenefit. The session focused on identifying and addressing on-ground challenges related to climate action and urban sustainability. Fellows learned practical strategies for mapping issues in their communities and were guided on how to develop actionable solutions.

On November 12, 2024, BCAC fellows participated in a field visit session hosted by Socratus NGO. The fellows were taken on a community walk through Shanti Nagar Ward No. 117, where they gained firsthand insights into the NGO's work in the area. During the walk, they learned about Socratus' community engagement efforts, local challenges, and grassroots initiatives aimed at improving sustainability and quality of life.

On November 6, 2024, BCAC fellows participated in a shadowing session at BSWML, where they had the opportunity to visit the Leachate Treatment Plant in Mitigenahalli. During the field visit, the fellows observed the processes involved in managing leachate and gaining hands-on experience in waste management practices.

Bengaluru joined the Cities4Forest platform – A global alliance which will facilitate technical support and knowledge sharing with cities across the globe, on 5th June 2024.
